Oxbow Meadows : This gallery contains photos of two Artworks i did at Oxbow meadows here in Columbus. One is a large scale Earthwork that I designed and a group of about 14 people helped construct. The other is a site specific installation of 17 hanging wax "pods" that I installed on Oxbows nature trail. Other photos in this folder are images of other student works done at Oxbow.

Motel Series : This a series of photographs I did losely based ont he work of Philip-Lorca diCorcia. I'm extremely unsatisfied with the way these photos scanned (they were scanned from slides) because the colors are VERY washed out and not nearly as rich and vibrant as they are when viewed as prints or through a projector. Pehaps I'll rescan them and try to tweak them a bit. Actually, I've looked at them on my home computer and they look fine... They look way to light on my work computer so I guess I'll just have to go by feedback to see if I need to change them. Two of these photos recieved honorable mentions at CSU's Friends of Art anual photo exhibit.

Balloon Installation : These are photos of a site specific installation that two of my friends and I installed on the land that I grew up on. It took the 3 of us about 5 hours to inflate, tie, and stake about 400 balloons to form this "river". I posted these on another website and got TONS of hits from people wanting to see more of this. I was flattered at first until i realized that they wanted to see these for sexual purposes. I started getting emails requesting that I show girls blowing up and popping these balloons over and over and over again. I mean, to each his own, but not with my Art, please... As with the motel shots, these photos were scanned from slides so the colors are not nearly as vibrant as they are when they are printed. Also, three of these photos won "Best in Show" at the CSU Student Art Exhibit - the first time the honor had been given to photography.

blurry : These are from a series of color photographs I did that were intentionally out of focus. My plan was to either print them very large so that they looked like oil paintings OR to actually paint over the large photos themselves. I, of course, never floowed through with this, but who know? Maybe one day... The cool part about these is that the photo printeres didn't charge me for these because they thought the out-of-focus shots were an accident.

Polaroids : These are a group of polaroids that are part of an ongoing series. I photograph only from my car and do not "doctor" the photos in any way. A theme is starting to emerge with these, but it's not there yet. As I said, it's ongoing so I may be working on these for years...
